Sota els Àngels

Our dream is to live in a deep relationship with nature

A Mediterranean cork forest surrounds the magical setting of SOTA ELS ANGELS. The organic control and the biodynamic care we give our vineyards allows us to extract the soul of each grape variety and to improve the balance and harmony of the environment. Here we live and work searching tirelessly for a fluid and familiar relationship with our natural environment. From terroir to heaven.

The Gavarres

Site declared of natural interest in 1992 (PEIN)

SOTA ELS ÀNGELS is located in the centre of the north face of The Gavarres, in the municipality of Cruïlles-Monells-Sant Sadurní de l'Heura. This is a very special place, an ancient massif of rounded forms in which Josep Pla saw "elephants", populated by oak trees (exploited in traditional and artisan cork industry), which shine between a pure sky and a floor with bushes of heather and arbutus. At the foot of the mountain, Sota Els Àngels, in a secluded, quiet soto, appears our vineyard.

The Empordà

Between sea and mountain, the gateway of wine in Iberia

The landscape of the Empordà, in north-east Catalonia, has great contrasts with the Pyrenees to the North and the Mediterranean to the East, making it a special territory between sea and mountain.

Empurias, the city that gave its name to the region of the Empordà, was an important settlement for the Greeks and the Romans on the Iberian Peninsula, possibly the gateway of wine in to Spain.

The Costa Brava

A few kilometers from the sea, in the centre of Costa Brava

Like a canvas on which nature has wanted to combine the green forests, the roundness of the rocks, the golden sand and blue sea, the Costa Brava stretches along the north Catalan coast. In 2012, National Geographic Traveller magazine declared it to be one of the best destinations in the world.

SOTA ELS ÀNGELS is located about 12 kilometers from Sant Antoni de Calonge, 15 km from Calella de Palafrugell and 16 km from Begur, in the center of the Costa Brava.
